Every detail reflected their style, from a bespoke dress and elegant florals to a menu crafted with care. Here’s a glimpse into how S&J created their dream wedding.
The Venue
We chose Rise Hall as it was absolutely STUNNING! It is so spacious, every detail of the place was out of this world, all the bedrooms were lovely, the ceremony room was beautiful, and the room where we had the wedding meal was just everything I could’ve ever dreamt of! I still remember my first visit to Rise Hall. I remember when I walked in, I was like, “WOW” this is the one, of course, after my first visit, my partner and I knew this was going to be the place for our wedding, so we booked the date with Rebecca and paid the deposit to secure the date straight away!
The Fashion
My dress was from Elite Bridal. Kate, the designer, worked with me and designed the dress just for me! My evening dress was from Self Portrait, heels from Miu Miu, and my partner got me a tennis bracelet as a wedding present. The bridesmaids’ dresses were from various online websites such as ASOS, Six Stories and Miss Pap! I let all of them choose their own style of dress as everyone has a different body shape, but in the same colour, sage green. The suits for the groom and groomsmen were from Slaters, black bow ties and black suits. Emma Church did my hair, and Rachel Helen did my make-up; they are both amazing and professional.
The Flowers & Styling
We just wanted something simple—think less is more! We opted for a white and green theme. Of course, we added our baby girl Lola (the dog) to many things, such as our wedding cake, drinks menu, and capture the love QR code cards. Lola was also our ring bearer!
Flowerstyle was our florist, based locally to Rise Hall. Emma captured our floral ideas and knew the venue well. We had lots of white roses and green foliage that complemented the venue and our sage green bridesmaid dresses. The theme ran through our bridal bouquets, buttonholes, table centrepieces and even the staircase was dressed with flowers.
The Food & Drink
Laura made our cake at Bluedoor Cake Design. The design was a 3-tier cake with our Lola on it, of course. We went for traditional vanilla, salted caramel and lemon, it was delicious!
The catering was provided by Rise Hall and their catering partner, Dine. After the ceremony, we decided to have canapés served with drinks. We designed the menu with our event manager Kim, a Duck Rillette Pink pepper butter starter, pomegranate seeds or Grilled Sea Bass Fillets, Masala peas and lentils. Guests enjoyed a main course of a Roasted Rack of Yorkshire Lamb or 21 Day Dry Aged Beef Fillet with Shallot and Roast Garlic Butter; both were amazing! To finish the meal, we chose a Trio of Summer Desserts!
In the evening, we served guests a selection of relaxed options, including fish-finger sandwiches with tartare Sauce and paninis filled with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, mozzarella, and pesto! The bar at Rise Hall is a lovely spot with its original features and cocktail menu!
