Ed Sheeran celebrated with Ipswich’s players by singing in the dressing after they won promotion to the Premier League.

Sheeran, who owns a minority stake in the Tractor Boys, sang his hit song ‘The A Team’ with the victorious squad following the 3-0 win over QPR on Saturday.

The victory at Portman Road ensured Ipswich returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking, finishing ahead of Millwall and Middlesbrough on a tense final day.

In a video posted on the club’s social media, Sheeran, who was holding a pint of Guinness, can be seen asking the Ipswich players to sing the 2011 hit with him.

The players and boss Kieran McKenna all obliged, with several players filming the moment.

Sheeran bought a minority stake in the club in 2024 and has sponsored the club’s kit in recent years.
