It’s that time of the day again.
Before clocking on for today’s coverage, I was having a think about the fact that it’s now two weeks since the World Cup began. How crazy is that?
Time has moved so, so quickly. And you know what they say: time flies when you’re having fun.
This time 14 days ago, I didn’t have Germany down as a team that could go that far in this tournament, but here we are heading into the final group stage game, and they are slowly becoming one of the favourites.
Two wins from two, with that second victory against the Ivory Coast, the type of victory that winners manage to get done. You know, a dramatic late win.
Now they face Ecuador in their final group game, a team that has underwhelmed at this tournament and simply have to win if they are to make it into the knockout stages.
Elsewhere, the Ivory Coast take on Curacao in what could prove to be an epic final fixture of the group.
