The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings across large swathes of the UK over Easter, in what may be a disappointment for many hoping to enjoy the bank holiday weekend.
Yellow weather warnings for wind are in place across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England across Saturday and Sunday.
The Met Office warned that a spell of “very strong winds” would sweep northeasterly close to or across northwestern parts of the UK on Saturday from 6pm, clearing to the North Sea by Sunday.
