NBA fans were left stunned on Wednesday night after spotting Celtics star Jaylen Brown grabbing Knicks rival Josh Hart’s crotch during their playoff game in Boston.
Early in the second half at TD Garden, TNT Sports cameras captured Brown appearing to cup Hart’s private parts while trying to get around a pick.
The New York shooting guard reacted angrily to the bizarre cup-check, shoving his Boston counterpart in an exchange which resulted in technical fouls for both men.
And fans certainly saw the funny side of the incident on social media.
One joked: ‘Took defensive pressure to a whole new level’.
‘Whatever for that W, true devotion,’ said another.
‘Only time he uses his left hand, smh,’ a Celtics fan pointed out about Brown.

While one quipped: ‘Bro was focused on the wrong balls.’
In the end Brown and the Celtics had the last laugh as they ran out comfortable 127-102 winners to reduce their deficit in the series to 3-2.
The bizarre altercation with Brown was not Hart’s biggest problem on the night, as at one stage of the game he was left with blood pouring down his face after suffering a brutal injury in the early stages.
The Knicks superstar was going for the basket when he was caught by a flailing elbow, immediately falling to the floor and clutching his face.
Within seconds, there was blood all over the court and medics rushed to the 30-year-old’s aid to try and stem the flow.
Stunned commentators on TNT even claimed ‘he might need a transfusion, he is gushing blood.’
A review then determined the contact with Luke Kornet’s elbow was accidental and did not need to be upgraded to a flagrant foul.
The game was stopped as Hart received more medical treatment on the sidelines, and the player even had to change his jersey and shorts because they were covered in blood.
Hart then managed to get back on the court to go to the free-throw line, even with his vision partially impaired.
