Donna Kelce has branded the frenzy over the work taking place at her home ‘so stupid’ after a news story about the renovations went viral on social media.
TMZ created an unlikely news storm last weekend after posting an exclusive piece about Donna, the mother of NFL icons Travis and Jason Kelce, remodeling her ‘modest’ property with new windows and doors.
According to official records, the 73-year-old has hired a local contractor to replace nine windows and six exterior doors at the 1,434-square-foot property.
The report immediately became an online meme as a number of users poked fun at the ordinary information being sensationalized, with Travis and Jason even poking fun at it.
On the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers called their mom to get her thoughts on the hilarious saga.
Donna told her sons: ‘Even TMZ sent me a text and said, “Can you be honest, it’s really funny!” I’m like… it’s so stupid!’

‘All they’re doing is, people are coming to put in my windows on Monday,’ she added. ‘You know my whole apartment is all windows. It’s windows all the way around.’
Jason then joked: ‘Are you going bulletproof? What’s happening here?’
‘This year, it got so cold down here, it was in the 30s, and I literally had sweat coming down the windows and pools of water in my living room because it couldn’t handle it. These are cheap windows that were put in 20 years ago,’ Donna explained.
Jason teased his mom again by saying sarcastically: ‘Well I just wanted to say, mom, they said “modest home” and it just feels like you’re turning this place into a bit of a gilded palace, if I must say.
‘I think you’ve changed a little bit. You’ve had a taste of the good life and now all of a sudden…’
The Philadelphia Eagles great then added on a serious note: ‘We’re just having fun with it too, it’s amazing and hilarious in an awesome way.’
At the start of their latest podcast, the Kelce brothers broke their silence on what they called ‘the most important news’ of the week.
‘We wanted to break this news on the show but reports have already started to leak out,’ Jason said.

While viewers likely thought that Travis would finally address the contract extension that he recently signed with the Chiefs, instead, they spoke on the renovations.

Travis joined in on the satire, jokingly telling his mom that if she had just asked, he would have been happy to help her with the manual labor.
‘I told her if she needed me to screw some door hinges in, I could’ve f***ing done it for her,’ the Kansas City Chiefs star laughed.
The news of the one-year, $12million contract Travis has just signed in Kansas City will come as a boost to Donna, as reports of her home renovations continue to break the internet.
The tight end has agreed to stay loyal to the Chiefs after being tipped to either retire or join a new team, instead sticking with the city where he has won three Super Bowls.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the deal will have a max value of $15m as Kelce, who is set to marry Taylor Swift soon, heads into his 14th season.
The contract represents a potential drop of $5m a year for Kelce, who earned $34.25m across two seasons in his previous deal signed ahead of 2024.
