Embattled Tiger Woods and Kai Trump, President Trump’s oldest grandchild, enjoy an especially close relationship, it has been revealed.
Woods is believed to be in Switzerland seeking professional help after being arrested in late March for DUI when he rolled his car in Jupiter Island, a charge he has pleaded not guilty to.
When Woods, who blew a clear breathalyzer test but refused to give a urine sample, was talking to police after the incident, he admitted taking ‘a few pills’ and was found with two white tablets, which were later identified as the opioid hydrocodone.
Woods has been in a relationship for around 18 months with Vanessa Trump, Kai’s mother and ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. Kai, 18, is a keen golfer who has committed to playing for the University of Miami and has attended the Masters this week.
There had been speculation, however, that Vanessa and Tiger’s relationship could be on the rocks after his arrest, something which a source has reportedly told People will not happen.
‘She’s not leaving him. They’re very close as a family,’ the source was quoted as saying. ‘He’s fully integrated now and especially close with Kai.

‘Things will settle down. Vanessa’s handling it well and just not saying much.’
Indeed, the only public comment Vanessa has made since the incident was to share a picture of her and Woods together with the caption ‘love you’ shortly after it emerged Woods’s jet had landed in Switzerland.
Behind the scenes, though, the Daily Mail has confirmed that Vanessa was adamant Woods seeks thorough professional help and won’t stand for history repeating itself once more. The latest saga is the fourth time Woods has been in trouble after being behind the wheel of a car.
Kai, meanwhile, was at the center of controversy earlier this week when she shared an array of pictures from being at Augusta on Wednesday, including where she appeared to be taking selfies around the course.
Masters organizers have notoriously strict rules about phones being banned from the fairways but minor exemptions are made on rare occasions, especially during the practice days.
Things could have been so different for Woods this week. There had been growing speculation he was going to return to golf for the first time since the summer of 2024 at the Masters, before his latest car crash.
Days before, Kai and Vanessa were at his TGL (The Golf League) comeback in Florida, the indoor golf event he helped establish alongside Rory McIlroy where Woods played golf for the first time in almost two years.
In February 2025, days after Woods’ mom Kutilda had died and before Daily Mail broke the world exclusive of his relationship with Vanessa, Woods arrived to watch the final day of the Genesis Invitational alongside teenager Kai, with Vanessa close behind.

In 2025 alone, Woods had surgery on a torn Achilles and a seventh back procedure.
His former caddie during his all-conquering years, Joe LaCava, is on the bag for Patrick Cantlay at Augusta this week and also spoke out about his former employer’s struggles.
‘He’s got to help himself, which is what I’m hoping he’ll do,’ LaCava said. ‘But I have not made any contact with him. I’m leaving him alone and letting him figure it out for himself.
‘He’s got enough people probably texting him and hounding him, right? I don’t need to bother him. I care greatly about him. I’m not p***ed at him.
‘He knows that. He knows that I care deeply about him. He’s got enough stuff going on, so I’m sure we’ll communicate once he’s back home.
‘I’m assuming he doesn’t have access to his phone anyway.’
