An Alabama fan has gone viral after flipping the middle finger to TV cameras in the final moments of the Crimson Tide’s shock Week 1 loss to Florida State – their first opening-day defeat in 24 years.
The moment unfolded during the closing minutes of Saturday night’s 31–17 loss at Doak Campbell Stadium, as the broadcast panned to the Alabama crowd.
One visibly irate fan decided to stick up his middle finger directly at the camera before the shot was swiftly cut away.
One fan on X summed up the moment, writing: ‘This Alabama fan hit the camera with a solid death stare/middle finger combo.’
The viral clip came on a night that marked the end of a remarkable run for Alabama – their first Week 1 loss since 2001, ending a 24-year season-opening winning streak.
Florida State, meanwhile, claimed its first win over Alabama since 2007.

After leading for much of the game, the Seminoles weathered a brief Alabama rally in the fourth quarter when Rico Scott’s touchdown cut the deficit to seven.
But any hope of a dramatic comeback was crushed when FSU responded with a punishing late drive, capped by a 14-yard touchdown run from Gavin Sawchuk to put the game out of reach.
The loss adds pressure to head coach Kalen DeBoer as he looks to rebound in Week 2, when Alabama will host Louisiana Monroe in Tuscaloosa.
