England midfielder Declan Rice has trained after recovering from illness and is ready to feature in Wednesday’s World Cup semi-final against Argentina.

There was concern over the vice-captain’s condition coming out of the 2-1 win over Norway on Saturday, after he was forced off at half-time following a below-par first half.

Rice had spent three days in bed with a sickness bug and that showed amid the heat and humidity of Miami.

However, Daily Mail Sport understands that the 27-year-old is feeling much better and trained with his team-mates on Monday.

Rice has also been managing hamstring and back pain but is confident he can start when England take on the world champions in Atlanta.

Elsewhere, Ezri Konsa suffered cramp and hamstring pain and was taken off against Norway, but staff believe that was a consequence of coming from the altitude of Mexico City to the extreme temperatures in Florida.

Tuchel now has a decision to make on who will start at right back with Konsa, Reece James and Djed Spence all in contention.
