Soccer legend David Beckham has revealed the genesis of his friendship with a football legend of a different kind, Tom Brady, as both enjoyed the UEFA Champions League Final from Munich.
The English A-lister hosted ‘Beckham & Friends’ as an alternative broadcast for Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan for continental glory.
Brady stopped by in front of cameras, with the revelation of how two of the best at their individual sports came to be good friends.
‘We had an away game when I was playing with LA Galaxy,’ Beckham said, dating back nearly two decades on his time in Major League Soccer.
‘Romeo (Beckham) called me and said, “I’m going to throw balls over the park with Tom.” Tom had got in touch with Victoria (Beckham) and said he was taking his son over park and if one of the boys would like to join’
‘I said, “Tom who?” And he said, “Tom Brady.”

Brady was at the UEFA Champions League Final in Munich and met up with his good buddy
‘Your football is amazing, but there is another kind of football which is amazing too,’ Brady retorted to Beckham.
Brady was in Germany for the game with two of his kids, with them joining him in a luxury suite for the game.
Beckham and Brady are good friends, with the New England Patriots legend attending the Manchester United alumnus’ birthday.
The two indefatigable sporting figures have found ways to stay involved in the sports scene in the others’ home country.
Beckham is the co-owner and president of MLS team Inter Miami, and played a key role in brining Lionel Messi to the team.
Brady is a minority owner of Birmingham City, which earned promotion to the Championship for this upcoming football season.
