Former Manchester United star Nicky Butt’s 50th birthday party – reportedly attended by the likes of David and Victoria Beckham – is said to be at the centre of a police probe.
The ex-midfielder turned 50 on January 21 and celebrated three days later, inviting friends, including former team-mates, to the lunch event at Soho Farmhouse near Great Tew in Oxfordshire.
The Beckhams were said to have been joined by the likes of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes and their partners, who all left shortly after the incident is reported to have taken place.
Police are said to be questioning witnesses and looking at CCTV footage from the event, which is reported to have seen a security guard head-butted and left with a suspected broken nose.
The report states that there was an afternoon of drinking after a group of 30 moved on from a private room to a bar area at the Farmhouse.
According to The Sun, the incident is reported to have taken place between 7pm and 8pm when a man left to go to a bar outside and was confronted by the security guard after he was seen urinating against a wall.
