Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy is criticizing one of Bill Belichick’s oldest rivals for his failure to clarify whether or not he voted for the former coach to get into the Hall of Fame.
Belichick, perhaps the most successful coach in the history of the NFL, will not be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame at the first time of asking.
Since the news broke, fans have been shocked and are demanding to know which of the 50 voters for the Hall denied the eight-time Super Bowl champion.
One of those voters is Tony Dungy – the former Indianapolis Colts head coach and Super Bowl champion.
Dungy, who now appears as an analyst for NBC Sports, was asked by the media at the Super Bowl’s radio row about his vote.
The former coach refused to comment on the matter, telling reporters, ‘First of all, we don’t know that they didn’t get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Bill Belichick’s reported rejection from the Pro Football Hall of Fame is still a taboo topic

Hall of Fame voter Tony Dungy did not answer any questions about his ballot
Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy called Dungy a ‘COWARD’ for his lack of transparency
‘I am a voter, I have not heard who’s in and who’s out. So I’m not going to make a comment on it and speculate. We’ll find out, I think on Thursday, who’s in and who’s out.’
When pressed on if he personally voted for either Belichick or Patriots owner Robert Kraft – who is also reported to be denied a shot at the Hall of Fame – Dungy once again refused to comment.
Portnoy, the Massachusetts native and diehard Patriots fan, publicly branded Dungy a ‘COWARD’ on his personal social media page.
Commenters didn’t appreciate the Barstool man’s branding of the coaching legend.
‘C’mon man!! Tony Dungy is and has always been a class act. If he doesn’t wanna answer the question it’s his choice. No need to insult the guy. Be better bro!!!!’ one account on X posted.
Another reply read, ‘He’s definitely got more character and integrity than you ever will.’
‘lol you love calling people out on twitter. Keyboard tough guy,’ another post read.
