- Liam Knight is currently on the books of Hull FC
Danika Mason’s footy star boyfriend Liam Knight is reportedly eyeing off a return to the NRL ahead of the 2026 season.
Knight, 30, inked a 12-month extension with Super League outfit Hull FC in July, but the prop is believed to have urged his management to seek a deal back home.
The front-rower is currently out injured and returned to Sydney recently to nurse a stress fracture to his ankle.
It is understood Knight – previously on the books of the Sea Eagles, Raiders, Rabbitohs and Bulldogs – has interest from at least two NRL clubs ahead of next year.
Mason and Knight went public with their romance in July 2024, just months after the Channel Nine sports presenter ditched her fiancé weeks before they were set to be married.
The loved-up pair finally confirmed their relationship via social media after months of speculation, with the footballer embracing Mason in a photo shared to his Instagram page.

Mason and Knight went public with their romance in July of 2024 – and have been in a long-distance relationship this year with the footy star based in England
‘My life’s good,’ he wrote in the caption, alongside the couple sharing a cuddle.
Mason dumped her ex Todd Liubinskas in September 2023, just three weeks before their wedding.
The Daily Mail previously revealed Liubinskas – a personal trainer – later asked Mason to give back her diamond engagement ring because it was a family heirloom.
Mason also kept the $1.5million Maroubra home she shared with her ex-fiancé.
She later confirmed the couple split due to a ‘breakdown in trust.’
‘It certainly was an emotional rollercoaster,’ she told News Corp.
‘When someone hurts you like that, you experience all the emotions from sadness to shock to anger. But sometimes you just have to get through it.
‘You’ve got no option, really…people would ask me, ‘Are you OK?’ And I’d say, ‘Not right now, but I will be.’
Mason also sought professional help at the time to help pick up the pieces – and soon met her Knight in shining armour.
After Knight agreed to terms with Hull FC in March, the couple began a long-distance relationship – and they have since enjoyed getaways together overseas at every opportunity.
