Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Smith has agreed a bumper four-year, $96million contract extension which makes him the highest-paid guard in NFL history.
Smith’s new deal includes $81.2m guaranteed, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
The 24-year-old is currently in his fourth season with Dallas after being selected with the 24th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The deal with Smith comes a little more than two weeks after the Cowboys traded star pass rusher Micah Parsons to Green Bay after a long contract stalemate.
The Dallas line is in transition after seven-time All-Pro right guard Zack Martin and Tyron Smith retired this past offseason. Tyron Smith played a final season with the New York Jets.
