The Dallas Cowboys have handed Brandon Aubrey a mammoth new contract that makes him the highest-paid kicker in NFL history.
On Monday, Aubrey agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $7million-a-year after almost 12 months of negotiations.
His fresh terms also included $20m guaranteed and a signing bonus of $8.25m.
Aubrey’s new contract reflects his impressive performances since signing with the Cowboys in 2023 after a spell in USFL with the Birmingham Stallions. He had never kicked competitively before signing with the Stallions.
The 31-year-old, who was also a first-round pick for Toronto FC in Major League Soccer back in 2017, has been named to the Pro Bowl in all three of his seasons in the NFL.
Aubrey also holds the record for most field goals converted from 60 yards or more in NFL history with six.

He made 11 of 17 field goal attempts from 50 yards or more last season. In his NFL career, he has made 112 of 127 field goal attempts with a career-best 65-yarder.
In 2025, he connected on 36 of 42 tries and the six misses were from 51 yards or longer.
Earlier this offseason, Ka’imi Fairbairn of the Houston Texans was made the highest-paid kicker in the NFL with an average salary of $6.5m.
Harrison Butker of the Kansas City Chiefs, a three-time Super Bowl winner, previously had the biggest guaranteed figure of $17.75m.
Aubrey joins Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott as the highest-paid player in his position. In 2024, Prescott penned a four-year extension that pays him a staggering $60m-a-year on average.
