Bedford-based digital growth agency crdone, which is based in Bedford, has secured finalist status in two categories at the SME Bedfordshire Business Awards 2026, namely Business of the Year (Less Than 50 Employees) and High Growth Business of the Year.

The dual nomination comes after a year in which crdone has grown considerably, all while keeping its attention firmly fixed on delivering the kind of measurable, meaningful results that clients are looking for.

The agency was founded by Carl Darnell with a clear focus on performance rather than activity. crdone works collaboratively with its clients to define coherent strategies, run consistent performance tests, and concentrate resources on the channels and approaches that offer the greatest return.

Being shortlisted in both categories reflects the growth the agency has achieved and the robustness of the philosophy underpinning its work. Throughout the past year, crdone has worked to evolve how it delivers digital growth for clients, always guided by a commitment to transparency, honest goal-setting, and a relentless drive to keep improving.

Run by the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, the SME Bedfordshire Business Awards are an annual acknowledgement of those businesses across the county that have shown strong commercial results, sustained growth, and a real contribution to the local economic fabric. Finalist places are awarded based on results that businesses can demonstrate from the previous twelve months.

Earning a place in the finals puts crdone in distinguished company, alongside a small number of regional businesses being publicly acknowledged for the results they have delivered and the mark they have made in Bedfordshire.

Carl Darnell, Founder of crdone, said: “It’s been a strong year for us, but more importantly for our clients. We’ve focused on delivering better outcomes, not just more activity, and that’s what has driven our growth. We test. We measure. We learn. We adapt. Being recognised in both categories is a great result for the team.”

The winners across all categories will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday, 18 June 2026 at The Marquee Bedford, an evening that will unite businesses from every corner of the county in celebrating regional commercial excellence.
