Have your say and help shape fair ticketing
The UK government has launched two ‘Putting Fans First’ consultations aimed at tackling challenges in the live events ticketing market. These initiatives are designed to improve fairness, transparency, and consumer protections for fans attending concerts, sports events, and other live entertainment.
Pricing practices in the live events sector
A call for evidence on pricing practices invites feedback on how ticket prices are set in the live events sector. This includes exploring issues such as dynamic pricing and the transparency of fees. Responses will help assess whether the current legal framework ensures fairness for consumers.

Resale of live events tickets
A consultation on the resale of live event tickets examines measures to curb ticket touting and inflated resale prices. It explores potential interventions like resale price caps, enhanced platform accountability, and stronger enforcement of consumer laws. Feedback will shape future regulations aimed at ensuring fair access to tickets for fans.
