Carson Beck threw four interceptions in Miami’s loss to Louisville on Friday night, but that didn’t stop him from calling out a teammate afterwards.
Beck’s final interception of the night, which came with roughly 30 seconds remaining in the game, allowed Louisville to kneel out the clock and secure the 24-21 win over the No. 2 Hurricanes.
And while the Cardinals’ T.J. Capers made an impressive jump on the ball, Beck blamed his turnover on his teammate running the wrong route.
‘I mean, we have a perfect play for it,’ Beck told reporters following the game ‘We just had a miscommunication with the route and what we were doing.
‘Just ran the route wrong, and I went to go throw it because we’re hot off of the pressure and he made a good play on it. But it definitely didn’t help that we ran the wrong play.’
And Beck’s explanation following his difficult night did not go over well with fans.

‘Solid Leadership here… his draft stock is rising for sure,’ one said sarcastically.
‘Beck is not a leader and this proves it. Never throw a teammate under the bus in public like that,’ another added.
‘At some point, you gotta take accountability for your own throws,’ a third added.
And a fourth added: ‘this will go over well in the locker room.’
Beck, a sixth-year senior, is spending his last collegiate season with Miami after transferring from Georgia.
He was having a strong season for the Bulldogs last year before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in December.
Beck ultimately spent a significant period of time away from Georgia as he sought outside medical opinions, and surprised the school by entering the transfer portal in January.

He is working through what he called a ‘difficult’ split from Hanna Cavinder
Georgia’s season ultimately ended with backup Gunner Stockton under center in a Sugar Bowl loss against Notre Dame.
Beck had been having a strong season ahead of Miami’s first loss of the year, with 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions ahead of the defeat to Louisville.
He’s also been working through a ‘difficult’ breakup with former Hurricanes women’s basketball star Hanna Cavinder, whom he split with earlier this year.
‘You make mistakes as a person, but it sucks that you have to go through something like that with someone that you care about, and now it’s all over the Internet,’ Beck said about his ex-girlfriend in an interview with ESPN .
‘Half of what you see in the media is true. Half of what you see is not true. So, people pick their side of the story and run with it. The people that know the truth know the truth. But it’s been difficult.’
