Caleb Williams impressed NFL fans so much on Sunday night that some have tipped the Chicago Bears to win the Super Bowl.
Williams, 23, was drafted No. 1 overall last year but had a rookie season to forget as the Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus and eventually finished with a 5-12 record.
But Chicago is now full of hope going into the new season after the franchise won the race to sign in-demand Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as their new head coach.
Johnson’s arrival has led to hope that Williams can also improve and, eventually, take the team to their first Super Bowl since 2007.
And the early signs look positive as the former USC signal caller played his first snaps of preseason against the Buffalo Bills at Soldier Field on Sunday night.
In fact, Williams destroyed the Bills defense on the Bears’ opening drive of the game and threw a touchdown pass.
