Two brothers have appeared in court charged over a fight with police at Manchester Airport which broke out before an officer was filmed stamping on a suspect’s head.
Footage of the brawl at the airport’s Terminal Two building on July 23 was widely shared online.
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammed Ammad, 25, both from Rochdale, are alleged to have assaulted officers during the incident.
Both men gave no indication of pleas before magistrates and the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court on 13 February.
Mr Amaaz is alleged to have assaulted two officers, one male and one female, causing actual bodily harm.
He is also said to have assaulted another female officer.
Mr Ammad is accused of assaulting a male officer, causing actual bodily harm in the same incident.
