Here’s how the top section of the Premier League table is looking before tonight’s game.
There’s plenty going on at both the top and bottom in terms of the title and relegation races, but, tonight, the focus is on Europe.
We know that the top five will qualify for the Champions League now, and the Blues are in a battle to achieve that. They are sixth and seven points behind Liverpool in the standings – so need a win tonight.
Brighton, however, may have ambitions of their own. A win tonight will see them overtake the Blues and go sixth, with the Champions League not fully out of reach. It’s so bunched up, though – and Europa League may be a more serious target.
