A former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick has been arrested in Pennsylvania on charges of assault and harassment.
Devin Bush, a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns who was taken by the Steelers with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, was arrested Sunday in the Pittsburgh suburb of Bell Acres.
According to arrest documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Bush has been charged with second-degree simple assault and a separate summary harassment charge.
His preliminary arraignment has been set for 6:00pm on Monday with a preliminary hearing scheduled for 1:30pm on May 20.
After being booked, Bush has been released on non-monetary bail.
Court documents show that Bush has only prior driving offenses on his record when he was arrested for speeding and driving in the right lane back in September 2020.

Bush began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, declining after a strong rookie campaign

In a statement (via PFT), the Browns confirmed they were aware of the arrest and said they are gathering more information. In addition to any legal proceedings, Bush will face possible discipline under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.
After playing three seasons at the University of Michigan, Bush entered the draft and was taken by the Steelers.
Bush played his first four seasons in Pittsburgh and had a strong rookie campaign.
He totaled 109 combined tackles and one sack in 16 games played and 15 starts. Bush also snagged two interceptions, forced one fumble, and recovered four fumbles. His accolades earned him inclusion on the PWFA’s All-Rookie Team for the 2019 season.
But his second season ended after just six games played as he suffered a torn ACL.
His final two seasons in Pittsburgh saw him start a combined 28 games, but he wouldn’t again reach the heights of his rookie season.
After his rookie deal expired, Bush spent the 2023 season with the Seattle Seahawks where he played primarily on special teams and as a backup. He started in just three games of the 13 he played.
Seeking a new start, he signed with Cleveland in 2024 on a one-year deal. Bush started ten games at linebacker putting up 76 total tackles and a sack. The Browns re-signed him in March.
