Keely Hodgkinson has been crowned sports personality of the year after winning 800m gold at the Paris Olympics.
In August the 22-year-old from Atherton produced a dominant display to finally take home gold after being forced to settle for silvers at the last Games and previous two World Championships.
Luke Littler came second place after his breakout year in darts with England cricket star Joe Root placing third.
Hodgkinson is the fourth woman to win in a row after Emma Raducanu, Beth Mead, and Mary Earps.
‘Thank you so much. I’m actually more excited for my coach because I wouldn’t be where I am without him,’ said Hodgkinson.
‘Thank you for everybdy who voted at home and I wish you all a wonderful evening.’
