Daniel Jones has interest from multiple teams as he weighs up his return to the NFL – but he won’t be doing it with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jones was released by the New York Giants on his own request last week after the franchise benched the quarterback – and demoted him to fourth-string – following an all-round disastrous season.
The 27-year-old Jones has an array of teams ready to offer him a fresh start but it was reported on Monday evening that he does not plan to join the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to Jordan Schultz, Jones wants to join a team that is a postseason contender and the Raiders, at 2-9, do not fit the bill.
Schultz added that Jones is fielding ‘substantial’ interest from multiple playoff teams.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously named the Vikings and Ravens as two of the likeliest teams to land him.
