The Chicago Bears have fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron amid the team’s three-game losing stream.
In a huge move from head coach Matt Eberflus, the OC is gone and he will be replaced by Thomas Brown, according to multiple reports on Tuesday morning.
The Bears suffered their worst result of the season on Sunday, putting up just three points in a 19-3 loss to the struggling New England Patriots.
The offense will now be led by Brown, who was previously the passing game coordinator and will now return to a role he previously held with the Carolina Panthers last season.
Waldron’s offenses have struggled for a number of seasons, with his Seahawks team ranking 20th, 13th and 21st in total yards in 2021, 2022 and 2023 respectively, while this season’s Bears are 30th.

The team are sticking with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams despite the poor form, and now Brown will have a chance to get him firing.
Brown, once an NFL running back for the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns, has previously interviewed for several head coaching jobs, but will now get a chance to show what he can do in Chicago.
