Two ‘very embarrassed’ Canberra Raiders NRL players have been disciplined over a late-night altercation at their hotel in Las Vegas days out from the start of the 2025 season.
Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies came to blows after they were briefly evicted from the hotel on their first night following confusion over a room booking.
It’s understood inflatable baseball bats were involved in the scuffle and that security guards attended.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart confirmed an altercation took place and slammed the players’ behavior as unacceptable.
‘I have spoken to the players who are very embarrassed,’ he said.
‘The club will deal with this strongly.’
The club is expected to address the saga in the coming hours.
The NRL is aware of the incident.
More to come.
