Bill Belichick’s concerned friends have reportedly been reaching out to the 73-year-old about ‘runaway train’ girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, as the fallout from his humiliating CBS interview shows no sign of slowing.
CBS aired Hudson interrupting Belichick when he was asked how they first met in an excruciatingly awkward scene on Sunday morning. It went viral and sparked widespread humiliation for the NFL’s greatest coach – and Hudson herself. But since then, it has turned out to be the tip of the iceberg.
TMZ reported Monday that Hudson stormed out of the interview at one stage and caused a 30-minute delay to proceedings.
She reportedly wanted Belichick to leave the room with her, and CBS reporter Tony Dokoupil, who carried out the interview, is said to have been ‘spooked’ by the overall experience.
But the fallout isn’t stopping there for Belichick. A New York Post report Tuesday says his friends are ‘shaking their heads’ at his involvement with Hudson and have contacted him about it.
‘They are talking to him about her, but very gently because they know how deep in he is,’ the Post quotes an insider as saying. ‘She saw an opening and she took it.

It has caused widespread humiliation for Belichick and the fallout is continuing
‘This guy is known as being such a strong voice and in many ways autocratic — and here he is becoming mush in her hands and letting her direct everything. She is so much younger, so inexperienced and so lacking in perspective and professionalism.
‘This CBS interview really exposed how bad things are and how much control that she’s been able to get. The optics were brutal.’
The article says a different source close to Belichick thinks his relationship with Hudson is ‘alarming’ and that she is ‘a runaway train’.
Hudson, as per ProFootball Talk, interruped the interview so many times that CBS kept one scene included to reflect her ‘constant presence’ over proceedings, as Dokoupil described it.
There are also growing concerns about Belichick’s job as head coach at the University of North Carolina.
The Patriots great surprisingly stepped into the college game and agreed his deal last year – he has seemed very proud to be working at college level.
But there are multiple reports on Tuesday that UNC are growing increasingly uncomfortable at Hudson’s presence around the legendary coach.
TMZ said UNC has a ‘growing sense it could become a problem’ – as if it hasn’t already.
Emails have revealed that Belichick asked for Hudson to be cc’d on every message he is sent by UNC’s Senior Athletic Director about running the team.
Belichick hasn’t responded to the interview since it was aired but he sat down with CBS to promote his new book, The Art of Winning.
In there, he refers to Hudson once as ‘my idea mill and creative muse.’
Hudson herself continued as if nothing had happened on Sunday, posting pictures to Instagram of time spent with friends and making no mention of the CBS interview.
