I simply can’t make up my mind on this Brazil team.

Before their game against Scotland, I was banging on about how this wasn’t the same Brazil as years gone by, they are ‘not so brilliant’ anymore.

Maybe I should try telling those Scottish players that after their battering at the hands of the Selecao last week.

Now, I’m not going to sit here and say that this is vintage Brazil, not at all. However, I will eat my words and say that they were brilliant in their own way in their final group clash with the Scots.

Vinicius Jr ran the show, they were incredible on transition, and rock solid at the back. The full package.

It made me think that this Brazil side could possibly go further than many of us thought. They still have enough joga bonito (playing beautifully in Portuguese) to do damage to teams.

However, tonight they are facing their biggest test of this tournament so far. And yes, I know they played Morocco in the group.

Japan are now slouch, they will push the Brazilians all the way.
