Bolton Wanderers have signed Middlesbrough’s Finland international striker Marcus Forss on a season-long loan plus former Swansea City defender Cyrus Christie on a one-year deal.
Forss, 26, has played 92 times in all competitions for Championship side Boro, scoring 18 goals since joining from Brentford three years ago.
He featured seven times for the Bees in the Premier League during the 2021-22 season.
Forss told Bolton’s website:, external “League One is a different kind of league and it’s probably more physical, but I’ve been there and done it and experienced it and now I’m just looking forward to getting back out there.”
Republic of Ireland international Christie, 32, left the Swans at the end of last season after a short spell during which he made 12 appearances in all competitions.
His deal with Wanderers has the option of an extra year.
“Being a free agent there’s no real rush to get certain things done ,” Christie said. “You can wait until the market’s finished but Bolton showed the intent.”
