Amid reporting that Bill Belichick’s family are worried about his relationship with Jordon Hudson, Colin Cowherd has claimed that those concerns are in regards to the legendary coach’s finances.
The relationship between Belichick, 73, and Hudson, 24, was revealed last year, though the criticism has snowballed ever since Belichick’s infamous interview with CBS, when Hudson – sitting off-camera – interrupted to shut down questions about how they met.
Interviewer Tony Dokoupil described her as a ‘constant presence’ throughout the session, while an email previously publicized by The Assembly showed her influence in Belichick’s professional life, as the coach had asked for her to be copied on all emails sent to him by UNC staffers.
All of that has led Belichick’s family to reportedly grow worried about the legendary coach’s relationship with Hudson, as Pablo Torre reported the coach’s loved ones were ‘digging into’ her amid fears she could tear down ‘everything he’s built,’ citing an unnamed source.
However, Cowherd believes there is one very specific reason why Belichick’s family would be uneasy about the relationship: money.
‘Look, I don’t buy into this whole idea that Bill is some old, feeble man who doesn’t know what he’s doing, OK?,’ he said on his eponymous podcast. ‘We’ve literally got Ring video proving Bill knows exactly what he’s doing. Put your shirt on, Bill. And let’s be honest, families aren’t worried about Bill. They’re worried about the will. When dad’s worth over $100 million, suddenly everybody’s got questions like, ‘Who’s getting cut out?’

And Colin Cowherd has claimed the reported concerns from Belichick’s family are in regards to the coach’s finances and his will
Belichick’s net worth is estimated to be at $70million after he spent 24 seasons with the Patriots, leading the franchise to six Super Bowls.
And Daily Mail exclusively reported last month that Hudson had quietly amassed a $9million real estate portfolio.
Cowherd went on to call Hudson the coach’s ‘social stockbroker’ while saying the ‘actual concern’ of Belichick’s family was that they’d be cut out of the will.
‘You really think Belichick, architect of the greatest dynasty in NFL history, lost his playbook in the last eight months?,’ Cowherd continued. ‘Come on, I’m old enough to remember the Anna Nicole Smith era. This isn’t that. This is a hall-of-fame coach ghosted by the league, taking a calculated swing at a rebrand. Not a bad call in the fourth quarter of life.
‘And Jordon Hudson, she’s reading the play, too. Her family’s business went under. This is a strategic alignment. She gets exposure, access, a path upward, and I think they both actually like each other’s company. Bill gets relevance, and energy, and somebody who knows what TikTok is. In a world where attention is currency, she’s his social stockbroker, and again, I think they like each other.’
‘So when I hear, ‘the family’s concerned.’ About what exactly?… Don’t pretend this is brand new behavior, DiCaprio’s made a career out of it. Also, let’s not forget Bill’s not estranged, he’s had his kids on the coaching staff [his son, Steve, is on the UNC staff]. So yeah, the writing’s on the wall, and it may end up in the way. That’s the actual concern here. If Bill was 93 and found wandering barefoot through a truck stop, yeah, we could all worry. But he’s not being held in a basement, she’s not spoon-feeding him oatmeal. They’re busy building their own brand in Chapel Hill, no less.’
Torre has been at the forefront of the furor, releasing a number of incendiary reports about Hudson – including that she had been banned from UNC’s football facilities.
Last week, Hudson shared posts including ‘Good lord Pablo needs a hobby’.

Many of the comments she has reposted related to Torre’s reliance on anonymous sources.
‘Nobody should ever use anonymous quote to call anyone “worst person I’ve ever dealt with on earth..” (as Torre did with Belichick girlfriend) or viciously disparage someone’s character or spew numerous other personal insults,’ read one, to which Hudson replied: ‘Proverbial Retweet’.
While UNC has refuted Torre’s report that Hudson has been banned from the school’s football facilities – a rebuttal which Torre then denied himself – it does appear that Hudson has taken a step back from Belichick’s professional life.
UNC recently hired former Bears PR director Brandon Faber to calm the scrutiny around the coach, and he was seen with the eight-time Super Bowl winner as he left an interview with Good Morning America last week.
