University of North Carolina head football coach Bill Belichick showed his support for girlfriend Jordon Hudson at her cheerleading competition in Florida by dressing up with cheer squad merch.
It’s a shocking and surprising change from what many NFL fans may have been used to from the 74-year-old Belichick during his time as the gruff, results-focused coach that won eight Super Bowls.
Over the weekend, Hudson, 25, snapped a selfie of herself and Belichick throwing up a hand symbol with a punched thumb and pointer finger while the other three fingers were straight up.
Additionally, Belichick was seen wearing a black-and-red matching T-shirt and hat that appeared to align with Hudson’s team’s colors.
Hudson posted this image to her Instagram with the account, ‘Roses [UP!] for Bill the WAG.’
NFL fans were left stunned by the display and ruthlessly dragged the NFL icon.

Another said, ‘Bro wtf is Bill wearing.’ One comment read, ‘This man used to be the most feared coach in the NFL. Nobody is succubus proof.’
‘Get her away from him oh my god,’ read a different comment. One user said, ‘What y’all got my dawg throwin up man lol.’
For his troubles, Belichick did get to watch Hudson and her Cheer Extreme Code Black team win the championship in the International Open Coed Non-Tumbling division.
It was an interesting choice in distraction from the upcoming college football season after Belichick’s struggles in his first year at UNC.
Amid controversies throughout the season – including over Hudson’s role with the team – the Tar Heels went 4-8, only winning two conference games.
