Beverley Callard’s husband has revealed the Coronation Street star had a “down day” after receiving some news in her ongoing cancer battle.

The actor, who revealed she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in February, could be seen having dinner and drinks with friends whilst her husband Jon provided an update.

“We’ve been to the hospital, got some news, trying to start radiotherapy as soon as they can. But we’ve come home, we’ve got some friends here. It’s been a down day, but I’ve made Sangria.”

Panning round to the group, Callard toasts a “Cheers!” as her friends all joined in. Sharing the video, she wrote: “This was a pretty good ending to a day of mixed feelings! F*** cancer.”
