In her review of the best air fryers, home appliance tester Rachael Penn said the generous capacity “allowed food to cook evenly” as she “was able to spread it out, especially chips that came out perfectly even with no pale or underdone bits”. Rachael also appreciated that she could get the air fryer up to 230C, “which allows you to add a bit of extra crispiness to whatever you’re cooking.”

We’re in the third day of the sale but for anyone new to the party, Amazon Prime Day is an annual event where the online retailer invites Prime members to save on items across every category, from electronics and clothing, to health, wellness and home essentials.

The sale began in 2015, making this the retailer’s 11th Prime Day celebration. The length of the sale has varied through the years, but this year it’s spanning four days that kicked off on Tuesday 23 June and continuing until Friday 26 June. A second event – often referred to as the Prime Big Deals Days – usually takes place in early October, almost like a Black Friday build-up.

Much like Black Friday, plenty of Amazon Prime Day excitement gets going before the main event and, over the past week, Amazon has dropped a number of early Prime Day deals on big-name brands, such as Dyson, Apple and Garmin.

As mentioned, you have to be a Prime member to take part in the savings, but it’s not to late to sign up. New members can enjoy 30-days of Prime for free and still take advantage of quick delivery, Prime Video and many more benefits.

It’s easy to get carried away on Prime Day and look only to items with a price tag exceeding £100 – but, for many of us, the event is simply an excuse to top up on day-to-day necessities.
