Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has suffered what appears to be a significant injury to his left ankle during Sunday’s Week 2 battle with the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.
Burrow was brought down by Jaguars defensive lineman Arik Armstead, on the play. Bengals right guard Dalton Risner had good position on Armstead, but slipped on the Paycor Stadium turf, allowing the Jags’ pass rusher to take down Burrow by his ankles.
The 28-year-old quarterback remained on the turf in Cincinnati until he was met by trainers, who helped him off the field. Burrow was noticeably limping as he was taken to the locker room.
