A passenger who was on board one of the trains involved in a crash south of Bedford on Friday (19 June) captured the scene at the collision site on video.

Nine people are in a critical condition following the crash in which a train driver died and 89 people were injured.

Footage taken by Dr Peter Knapp shows the extent of damage to the coaches and people in distress.

Dr Knapp told ITV News he had blood on his trousers and his back hurt, but he was “alright.” He described walking across the railway track in shock before stopping in a nearby field.
