A “barely conscious” man has been rescued from Loch Lomond after a lifeboat crew heard his cries for help.
The man was found in the water near Balmaha in the early hours of Sunday, shortly after midnight.
Loch Lomond Rescue Boat had been searching around Inchcailloch Island after being contacted by Police Scotland to help with the search.
After finding the man they “immediately began casualty care” before the Scottish Ambulance Service was able to take over.
A spokesperson for the charity said a further three people were collected from the island, all of whom were “safe and well”.
They added their thanks to the Scottish Ambulance Service, HM Coastguard Rescue and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, all of whom assisted in the rescue.
Inchcailloch Island is easily accessible from Balmaha by water taxi, and has a small camping site.
