Former US president Barack Obama is to tour the UK this autumn to speak about “what comes next for America”.
The 64-year-old will appear at events titled An Evening With President Barack Obama in Belfast, Glasgow and Manchester.
That follows shows at The O2 in London and Dublin’s Arena in 2025.
Mr Obama served as the 44th president of the US from 2009 to 2017. He was the country’s first Black president and its only one to date.
He will appear at The O2 in Belfast on 13 October, Glasgow’s Ovo Hydro on 14 October and Manchester’s Co-op Live on 15 October.
Guest moderators for the live interview shows are yet to be announced.
Organisers said that Mr Obama will speak about “what comes next for America, and for all of us”.
Robin Sherry, founder and chief executive of organiser Seat Unique, said: “Following the phenomenal response to last year’s events, we are delighted to bring three new opportunities for fans to experience An Evening With President Barack Obama.”
Mr Obama was interviewed by British TV historian David Olusoga at The O2 in London in September.
During that talk, he lashed out at Donald Trump for “violence against the truth”, following the US president’s rogue declaration that painkiller Tylenol is linked with autism.
Mr Obama said that the unproven claims “undermine public health”.
“We have the spectacle of my successor making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproved,” he told a 14,000-strong audience.
“All of that is violence against the truth.”
After his two-term presidency ended in 2017, Mr Obama and his wife, Michelle, signed a deal with Netflix to produce documentaries, series and features for the streaming platform under their Higher Ground Productions company.
That deal has since ended, with Mr Obama saying he and Michelle are in the process of “transitioning to a more independent [company] where we can work with a bunch of different studios”.
In 2022, Mr Obama won the Emmy for best narrator for his work on the Netflix documentary series Our Great National Parks.
He has also won Grammy Awards for his audiobook readings of two of his memoirs: The Audacity Of Hope and Dreams From My Father.
The former president, who was born in Hawaii, also hosted a 2021 podcast called Renegades: Born In The USA, alongside rock singer Bruce Springsteen, which also resulted in a book.
Tickets for the UK shows will go on sale on Friday 31 July at 10am from Myticket.co.uk and SeatUnique.com, with 100 tickets set aside for charitable organisations.
