An impressionist found themselves in hot water on social media after being accused of a lack of sensitivity for an impression of Chris Eubank Jr’s father.
Eubank Jr and Sr have not spoken ‘for years’ according to the former amid a feud that is partly because of a row over the agreed weight for his upcoming grudge match with Conor Benn.
The two rivals will finally clash on Saturday night three years after their initial bout was called off due to Benn returning a positive test for clomifene, revealed by Mail Sport.
Though there were attempts to keep the fight on, it was eventually cancelled, with the two now set to meet in the ring at last after Benn was cleared of cheating by the authorities.
Ahead of the fight, which has seen plenty of media attention already, an impressionist filmed a skit with Eubank Jnr, mimicking his father’s voice and speech pattern, talking about the upcoming fight as if the pair were talking like father and son.
However one viewer on social media believed that the clip was ‘insensitive’ given that Eubank and his father are no longer on speaking terms.

‘Bit insensitive! He’s just poured his heart out about not speaking to him! Tone deaf to get clicks,’ they wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
However the impressionist, Al Foran, quickly pointed out that all had been pre-agreed with Eubank Jr.
‘I literally asked for his permission to do it before we filmed this and he was more than happy for me to do the impression along with his management (who actually suggested that I do Senior in a video with him) and he’s also shared it on his Instagram stories. Bore off.’
But the exchange was not yet over, with the viewer quickly responding: ‘Just checked his Instagram a he absolutely hasn’t! Bad move, say what ya like! All for a few clicks!
‘Guy was literally emotional speaking about him tonight! And you unfollow me for keeping u right? But precious eh.’
The exchange continued further, with Foran and the viewer swapping further messages before the spat came to an end.
Eubank Jr ends the clip by saying he hopes that after the fight he and his father can ‘have a sit down, have a nice meal, and have a hug’.
The 35-year-old discussed his relationship with his father, and indeed the death of his brother, in heart-breaking detail in his pre-fight conference, where he was also labelled ‘fat boy’ by Benn, with the inference that he will struggle to boil down to the 160-pound middleweight limit.

When Benn probed at the ‘pain’ Eubank was experiencing in shedding pounds, his opponent was sharp in his response.
Pointing to the death of his brother Sebastian in 2021 and his estrangement from his father, Chris Eubank Sr, partly because of a row over the agreed weight for this fight, Eubank Jr said: ‘What is pain, though?
‘I have a 31-year-old brother who is buried in the desert in Dubai, that is pain. I have his son, three years old, he asks why can’t I see my daddy? Why can’t he take me to school? That is pain.
‘My own father, a man I idolised for my entire life, and he doesn’t speak to me. We haven’t spoken for years and he thinks I’m a disgrace. These things are what pain is to me.’
