Chelsea remain without an away win in 2025 after blowing a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 at Aston Villa on Saturday night.
Enzo Fernandez’s fourth goal of the season fired Chelsea in front after just nine minutes.
But Villa levelled 12 minutes into the second half when Marcus Rashford set up fellow mid-season loan signing Marco Asensio for an untidy equaliser.
Asensio then hit the winner, again from a Rashford assist, in the 89th minute when Chelsea keeper Filip Jorgensen was unable to make a regulation save.
Rashford has started the game on the bench, before Unai Emery brought him on at half-time.
Chelsea have now lost three games in a row, with Saturday’s game coming after back-to-back defeats by Brighton.
