An arsonist was caught on camera setting fire to a black Mercedes 200 on a driveway in Northampton.
Footage showed Mikha Morrison, 27, pouring liquid from a green Jerry can over the vehicle before lighting it with a match the early hours of 15 February in the Great Billing area.
The fire then spread to a nearby Vauxhall vehicle, with people in neighbouring homes having to evacuate as a precaution.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service arrived and prevented the fire from spreading further.
Morrison was stopped by police officers inside and attempted to escape but was detained and arrested. A rucksack containing the green jerry can was found nearby and Morrison smelt of petrol.
He was sentenced to three years and four months in prison on 4 June after pleading guilty to arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
