Nottingham Forest and Sweden star Anthony Elanga has revealed why he has started to wear red-tinted glasses as he joined Erling Haaland in sporting the special eyewear.
Elanga, 22, has been spotted with a new look while on international duty with Sweden this week.
The former Manchester United forward has been called up to the Sweden squad for their matches against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.
Elanga has played a starring role in Forest’s superb season to date, with the club on course to qualify for the Champions League.
He has scored five goals and made eight assists in the Premier League, including netting a double in the 4-2 win at Ipswich on Saturday, to help Forest reach third in the table with nine matches to go.
Speaking ahead of Sweden’s friendly with Luxembourg, Elanga opened up on the health benefits of the red-tinted glasses.

The glasses have also been worn by Manchester City stars Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish
‘It helps me sleep,’ he said. ‘It’s important to keep an eye on your body, especially when you play so many matches. I am my own stylist.’
Other Premier League footballers seen wearing the blue light-blocking glasses include Manchester City stars Haaland and Jack Grealish.
It is believed the glasses, also popular with drivers and winter sport athletes, increase melatonin to aid with sleep and recovery.
Melatonin is a hormone that occurs naturally in the body. It helps to control how and when you sleep, with levels higher at night and lower during the day.
