Alvaro Morata’s wife has affirmed the strength of her marriage with an intimate confession after getting back together with the Spain star following a five-month split.
Morata, 32, and Italian influencer Alice Campello, 30, revealed in January that they were giving their marriage another go, having each posted an image of them smiling and kissing on social media platform Instagram.
The glamorous couple met in 2016 and have four young children — Alessandro, Leonardo (twins), Edoardo, and Bella — but announced last August that they were going their separate ways seven years after tying the knot.
But now, the pair appear to be stronger than ever after Campello spoke about their relationship on Italian television show Verissimo this week.
Referencing the break-up, the model said: ‘It was the biggest mistake we’ve ever made in our lives.
‘We repeat it every day — I don’t know how we could have made that decision. This experience has taught us both a lot because we understood what it’s like to be without each other.’

Spanish sports paper Marca have claimed the couple’s relationship broke down after an argument over family following Spain’s triumph at Euro 2024 last summer.
It was alleged that Campello only wanted herself, their four children and her friends to be on the pitch following Spain’s 2-1 win against England.
That meant Morata’s parents and other family members were not permitted to celebrate on the pitch with the forward at full-time, reportedly leading to a major deterioration in the relationship.
‘It’s easy to get depressed or have moments of weakness,’ Campello added, opening up on the difficult period she endured psychologically after Bella’s birth in 2023, during which she almost lost her life.
‘It’s something that changed me. I hadn’t been well for a long time, and maybe I didn’t even realise it.
‘I’m very close to my father, and he was very angry because he couldn’t understand how two people who love each other so much were capable of destroying something so beautiful.
‘I’m very grateful to my family for the values they instilled in me and for always telling me the truth. You can’t be so immature.’
Morata, who joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan from AC Milan in January, has moved around Europe frequently throughout his career.

The Spaniard began his senior career as a highly-rated youngster at Real Madrid before moving to Juventus in 2014 — and then back to the Bernabeu two years later.
In 2017, Morata completed his £60million switch to Chelsea and stayed at Stamford Bridge for three years before moving to Atletico Madrid, where he began his youth career as a 12-year-old.
Upon signing for Atletico, he was loaned back to Juventus in 2020 again for two more years ahead of joining AC Milan last summer, where he stayed for just six months before moving to Galatasaray on loan.
In a separate interview with Hola magazine earlier this month, Campello admitted that the couple’s move to Turkey has strengthened their marriage.
‘I think it’s been very good for us to be in a place where we’re alone again,’ she said.
‘We’re relaxed there, with our family. People don’t stop us so much on the street, and we can live a much more normal life, and at this stage of our lives, it’s been good for us.’
Morata also opened up on his battle against depression, admitting he almost did not make it to Germany to captain Spain to Euro 2024 glory.
The forward, who received heavy criticism from both fans and journalists in the build-up to the tournament, said: ‘When you have really tough times, depression, panic attacks, it doesn’t matter what job you do, what situation you have in life, you have another person inside that you have to fight against every day and every night.’
