Washington Capitals icon Alexander Ovechkin became the NHL’s all-time leading scorer on Sunday – and his stunning wife Nastya was there to see him do it.
Ovechkin scored his eagerly-anticipated 895th goal in the Capitals’ game against the New York Islanders at UBS Arena, which took him past the long-time record previously held by hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
After the Russian made history on the ice, TNT Sports cameras panned to his wife Nastya in the crowd – who sent fans into a frenzy on social media.
One user wrote on X: ‘Ovechkin’s wife is fine as hell’.
Another commented: ‘Ovi’s wife is f***ing hot #ovechkin’.
‘Had no clue Alex Ovechkin wife was that hot,’ said a third.
While one joked: ‘Ovie’s wife is a smoke show! Even bigger accomplishment!’

Nastya, whose full name is Anastasia Shubskaya, was watching the game with Alex’s mom Tatyana, with the pair seen hugging each other after his historic feat.
She is said to have first met Ovechkin at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing before the NHL star slid into her DMs seven years later.
Alex then invited her to Washington after meeting in person for dinner from time to time.
‘I came and after this, I stayed till now,’ she told the Washington Post in 2020.
After striking up a romance, the couple got married in 2016. They now have two children together in sons Sergei and Ilya.
Before meeting Ovechkin, Shubskaya worked as a model in her native Russia. She boasts over half-a-million followers on Instagram.

‘We’re here to celebrate this guy here, No. 8,’ Gretzky said of Ovechkin during an on-ice ceremony after his record was broken. ‘They say records are made to be broken, but I’m not sure who’s gonna get more goals than that.’

For his part, Ovechkin thanked fans ‘around the world’ and in his native Russia, as well as his family and teammates: ‘Without your support, I wouldn’t be here.’
Ovechkin has been with the Capitals since being the first overall pick in the 2004 NHL draft and helped the Washington franchise win the Stanley Cup for the first time in 2018.
Gretzky, widely regarded as the greatest ice hockey player of all time, had held the record since passing Gordie Howe in 1994.
The Canadian, a four-time Stanley Cup champion with the Edmonton Oilers in the 1980s, remains the leading point scorer in NHL history, having tallied 1,963 assists alongside his 894 goals for a total of 2,857 points.
