Gold Coast Suns veteran Christian Petracca has revealed he will become a father for the first time in a heartwarming social media post.
Petracca and his wife Bella are set to welcome a baby boy into the world, with the news coming as his headline-grabbing move to the glitter strip pays dividends.
The couple have made their exciting news public with a photo of their baby’s sonogram via a joint update on Instagram.
‘Baby boy on the way,’ Christian and Bella wrote.
Their news has left the AFL world buzzing, with some of footy’s biggest names sending the couple their best wishes.

‘Congrats guys,’ former Melbourne Demons defender Steven May added.
‘Congrats brother! Xx,’ Collingwood Magpies star Nick Daicos wrote.
The couple’s upcoming arrival will be Christian and Bella’s first child together, after they tied the knot in December 2024.
Their wedding followed a difficult period for the footy veteran, as he spent much of the 2024 AFL season recovering from a serious injury.
Petracca suffered a lacerated spleen, four broken ribs and a punctured lung during a match against Collingwood.
The couple became engaged back in 2022, after Petracca proposed at Italy’s famous Lake Como.
Petracca has since found a home at the Suns, after moving from the Melbourne Demons at the end of last season.
He has been one of the team’s best as they’ve climbed to fifth on the ladder with seven wins and four losses.
