- Fans have been left disgusted
AFL officials have removed a video of the game’s biggest stars giving disturbing insights into their household hygiene habits.
The video, which was posted to the league’s official Instagram page, includes clips of players from various teams responding to the question, ‘How often do you change your sheets?’
According to health professionals, standard practice is for people to wash their sheets at least once a week.
But some of the stars revealed they had no idea how unhygienic not washing your bedwear is.
Six players claimed their mother or romantic partner does the job for them.
And Sydney Swans midfielder Chad Warner confessed he changed his sheets ‘once a year’ before he met his partner.

Giants captain Toby Greene (pictured) also made surprising comments about his household hygiene habits
Dockers gun Andrew Brayshaw also confessed that he didn’t wash his bedgear for 12 months when he first moved out of home
‘I live with my girlfriend now so she does it every couple of weeks,’ Warner laughed.
Dockers star Andrew Brayshaw also admitted he once left his sheets unwashed for a year because he ‘didn’t realise you were supposed to change them’ when he first moved out of home.
Adelaide Crows veteran Taylor Walker confessed that he leaves his wife to complete the chore.
‘My wife changes it every week,’ he said.
GWS captain Toby Greene also admits his wife does the job in his household.
‘She’s bloody good at it,’ he said.
The clip has drawn the ire of AFL fans, with several taking to social media to voice their bewilderment.
‘Lordy. So cooked. Mums and Dads … there’s a lesson here,’ one person wrote.

‘Wow. Major Ick!’ another added.
AFL officials made the decision to take the video down after backlash from fans (pictured, AFL CEO Andrew Dillon)
‘This is terrible, goes to show that boys aren’t socialised to do household chores from a young age whereas girls are and understand what is needed,’ another commented.
The deleted clip also dismayed the team on Channel Nine’s Today show.
News presenter Jayne Azzopardi claimed the idea of the players not washing their sheets was ‘gross’.
Sports presenter Danika Mason said she and partner Liam Knight share the sheet-changing duties.
