Debby gets the surprise of her life on Sunday’s episode of “90 Day Fiancé,” when Mido proposes to her instead of breaking up with her.
Sunday’s episode picks up at the cliffhanger last week, when Mido dropped a bombshell that he wants to go back to Egypt, leaving Debby devastated and sobbing on the floor outside a possible wedding venue.
However, it turns out Mido is actually just planning to formally propose to her with only 25 days left on his visa.
Mido follows Debby outside of the wedding chapel as she continues to have a breakdown, and she’s so upset that she turns her back on him and refuses to turn around when he calls her name.
As she’s turned around, Mido pulls the engagement ring out of his bag. He gets down on one knee, but Debby still refuses to look at him.
Eventually, he gets up — leaving the ring on the floor — to hug her from behind. Debby is still extremely distraught, telling him, “Do not do this. No.” She continues to sob, until she finally turns around to see Nido back down on one knee with the ring.
He points at her with a smile on his face, telling her, “I got you!”
Debby is completely stunned before she replies, “I’m going to kill you.”
The moment is incredibly dramatic as she collapses on the floor in shock, still loudly crying as they hug.
Mido tells cameras that he’s had the ring for a while and was waiting for a good opportunity to surprise Debby, even though he knows she’s been anxious for his proposal.
Debby loves her new engagement ring, declaring it’s “perfect” as he slips it on her finger.
“And now I know that she’s a good person and she have a good heart,” he says. “And I think before we meet each other she was missing … we was missing something in our life. And I think now I complete her, and she completes me.”
Later, Debby proudly shows off her ring to the cameras, calling Mido’s proposal “beautiful.”
“Not exactly how I expected it, but nonetheless, it’s beautiful,” she reflects.
