Rochelle Anthony, a former contestant on the BBC reality series The Apprentice, has been rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected stroke.

The 39-year-old entrepreneur competed on the series in 2023 and now runs the Dolls House Collective, a hair salon in Milton Keynes.

In a post shared to her Instagram reels page, Anthony shared a picture of herself in a hospital bed on Thursday (9 July), telling followers: “Dolls, I am in A&E with a suspected stroke.”

She continued: “I am so sorry for any clients I need to reschedule! Please bear with me. Stress and trauma really are crazy triggers for serious conditions. I have no use of my left leg and left arm.”

The TV star added that she would be “off my phone” as she continues treatment.

On the 17th season of The Apprentice, Anthony made it through to the final, attempting to convince Lord Alan Sugar to invest in her salon business.

She ultimately finished in second place, with the mogul’s investment instead going to contestant Marnie Swindells, who sought Sugar’s investment in a boxing gym.

Anthony has shared details about health problems with social media followers in the past: in 2024, she posted about needing surgery after being diagnosed with gallstones.

Before her diagnosis, she had told followers: “I’ve been struggling with back pain for the past six weeks. These last 10 days have really ramped up.”

She was diagnosed and initially prescribed strong painkillers, confiding to her fans: “That’s left me sleeping all day/being sick feeling dizzy. But it’s better than the intense pain I’ve had for the past six days.

“Trust your gut and fight for answers. Hopefully, I will get the much-needed operation asap. […] Honestly, I’d rather give birth hurts less than any kind of stone.”

Nineteen stones were ultimately removed, along with her gallbladder.
