The wife of an unlikely World Cup hero has launched a stunning attack on USMNT legend Tim Howard, after writing a pointed message to the ex-star on social media.
Former goalkeeper Howard drew the ire of the nation of Curacao when he claimed they’d get ‘smoked’ and concede over 20 goals in the expanded 2026 World Cup.
However, despite Curacao losing their opening game 7-1 to Germany, Howard’s bold prediction seemed to backfire after the nation earned a 0-0 draw with Ecuador.
Curacao’s goalkeeper Eloy Room was largely credited with earning a point for the soccer minnows, after producing a record-breaking 15 saves during the game.
Evidently, Howard’s comments were not forgotten by Curacao fans and, in particular, Room’s wife, Zorana, who fired back at the former USMNT after their draw.
Taking to her Instagram story, the Serbian influencer and model shared an article which claimed she ‘hates’ Howard – while adding a scathing caption to the post.

‘Not a single lie in this article,’ she began. ‘Also with all due respect to Mr. Howard I will defend my husband, his team and their right to be there with my life’.
‘Because they deserved it unlike him in 2018. And they lost from [sic] a small Caribbean island. So no, he can’t say anything about Curacao’, she wrote.
There was an added factor to the conflict, given that some record books rule that Howard has the most saves in a World Cup game, after making 16 against Belgium in 2014.
However, while FIFA marks Howard’s tally at 16 saves, others record one of those saves as being from an off-target shot.
Immediately after Curacao’s draw, she also took aim at Howard over the record.
‘We have beef with this guy since he was talking shit about Curacao, so we gotta take his record,’ she posted on her Instagram story.
‘Putting it out there just so the universe knows what we want. Say what you want and the universe will deliver.’
Zorana, who tied the knot with Eloy in February, shared a picture of herself in the stands for the Ecuador game, writing: ‘I thought I was gonna have a heart attack at one point.’
Zorana also took aim over Howard’s World Cup record of 16 saves in a single game from 2014

Curacao, who are bottom of Group E with a single point thus far, take on Ivory Coast on Thursday.
While they may be struggling to score on the pitch at this World Cup, it has not been a problem off it for the Curacao squad.
The Caribbean island competing at their first World Cup have been treated to conjugal visits, with Dutch coach Dick Advocaat allowing his players to stay with their partners in their hotel in Florida.
An unusual move in modern international football, perhaps. Team hotels are typically sacred for players and staff, with families staying elsewhere to avoid distractions.
