Queensland front rower Lindsay Collins has revealed he has become a father for the second time, breaking the joyful news just hours after he starred in Queensland’s 44-24 win over NSW.
Collins, 30, and his wife Taylah have made the news public via a joint post on Instagram.
The couple first became parents on June 10, 2024, welcoming a baby girl named Georgia Marie.
They have now also welcomed a second daughter, Phoebe Christine, into the world, with her birth coming two years and one day after their first child’s.
‘Our girl, Phoebe Christine Collins is here,’ the couple’s post is captioned.
‘Born two years and a day after her big sister, we’re all so in love with our two little girls.’

The update, which has since received almost 2,000 likes and 100 comments, has been accompanied by several photos of the newborn and the now family of four.
Collins and his wife chose not to make the news public before State of Origin II, with the couple publishing their announcement post the morning after the match.
The now 17-time Queensland representative may have benefited from ‘dad strength’, as he played a major role in helping his state level the series at 1-1 in State of Origin II.
He scored a try and ran for 78 metres in the dominant victory, which saw Queensland fight back from a 2-12 deficit at the MCG.
Queensland controlled the game after half-time, with Billy Slater’s side running in six second-half tries.
Pressure is now set to continue mounting heavily on NSW coach Laurie Daley in the lead-up to Origin III at Suncorp Stadium.
The loss at the MCG marked Daley’s 11th defeat in charge of the state, and his heaviest since the 2015 decider.
Collins is now set to back up for his club side, the Sydney Roosters, when they face the Cronulla Sharks on Sunday night.
