Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano will clash in an unexpected fight tonight, many years after the MMA trailblazers last graced the cage.

Rousey, a former UFC bantamweight champion, has not fought since her knockout loss to Amanda Nunes in 2016, while Carano’s last bout took place in 2009.

Since then, Rousey has turned her hand to professional wrestling with WWE, while Carano is well known for her acting career after she starred in Star Wars’ Mandalorian show. Now, however, the Americans emerge from fighting retirement to square off in California, headlining the first MMA show organised by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.
